I had an amazing opportunity to interview the owner of BLD and eventually a review of their new shirt is going to be up soon! I hope you enjoy this interview and once again thank you to BLD for doing this interview with me! Enjoy! What is your name?
Kathy Caruthers What is your business/company name? Bending Line Designs, LLC - also known as BLD What do you sell / offer? We sell equestrian themed apparel and accessories, specializing in original t-shirts. We develop the designs for each product and screen print all of the apparel ourselves, on a manual screen printing press with water-based ink. Our other products include tote bags, phone cases, accessory bags, and coffee mugs. We're also looking to expand and offer embroidered products in the near future. Why did you start your business? I started Bending Line Designs as a way to combine two passions in my life - riding and graphic design. It is really rewarding to see a design that started as a spark of inspiration at the barn, transform into a printed shirt. How has owning a business changed your everyday life? In one word - BUSY. I'm always busy. Owning a business is a commitment to an additional workload and you have to hold yourself accountable. I've also found that I'm constantly looking for inspiration for the next shirt design. That part of my brain just never shuts off. Do you have any advice for future or current business owners? Go after what inspires and drives you, with everything you have.

Hope Glynn. Liza Towell Boyd. Just a couple names of well-known riders that love Ruespari belts and what they stand for. Well, add me to the list! The motto “Be Flexible” indicates just how flexible their belts are. They allow you move freely, all while never coming unclasped and being stylish as ever!?! Two of the most successful hunter and jumper riders wear them, while flying over 4’ jumps. When competing in classes with jumps this large, you need to feel the most comfortable and confident all while your belt stays clasped and allows you to move freely.
I sprang on the opportunity of asking of the most decorated hunter riders on the west coast, Hope Glynn, what she liked most about her Ruespari belts. “The best thing about Ruespari is the wide, stretchy fabric is not only flattering but super comfortable. I love using the black belt and moving the buckle under my shadbelly for a sharp look”. I’m sure once you have one of these belts in your hands you will feel the same way! I was given the opportunity to get a Ruespari belt and the minute I opened the package I was surprised. Not only is the belt amazing, but it comes packaged in a super cute drawstring pouch with their logo on the front. I have worn the belt every time I’ve ridden since I have received it, and will not settle for anything else. You can tell these belts are beautifully made, with invisible stitching so the belt looks nicely put together. I got the Black Diamond with Gold Clasp and I cannot even express to you how nice it is. I currently hold it above every other belt in my collection, and just ordered 3 more. The belt itself is made of a stretchy material that provides for a custom fit. This molds to your waist, and can be worn by someone up to three sizes larger. For example, in the womens’ belts, the size S/M can fit waists from size 24 to 28. For children, this belt is a great buy because even while they are growing, their belt will last. The designed belts have to be my favorite because they have a texture! The clasp, even when the belt could be a bit big on you, will never come undone. This is part of what makes these belts so special. The belt I tried and love is the clasped ones, but they have another style buckle which is called the surcingle. Overall, this belt deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+⭐️. 11 STARS! Thank you so much to Ruespari and Hope Glynn for helping me with this review and coming up next: All Ears App Review! Pat Nulis, and her business So Southern, have been taking the world by storm! You may recognize them from their Instagram, will their feed full of drool-worthy embroidered items! From saddle covers and saddle pads, to memory foam half pads and half chaps, everything can be embroidered! I got the amazing opportunity to review them, so here’s the products!:
Drawstring Bag - This bag is soooo handy! I have used it a handful of times now for the barn, school, sleepovers, just about everything. Not to mention, it is in a very classy, simple black and white houndstooth design that complements any outfit. It is the perfect size to hold a helmet, a crop and some spurs, and even a computer for school. It is made out of heavy-duty fabric and straps that wont break no matter how much horsey stuff that goes in. Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Belt - I also got a belt from So Southern and I must say, this style belt is really coming back in style! The belt has an open buckle so that you can slide it through and then back out the other side. It is adjustable, so if you order one be sure to order a size up just in case you grow. The pattern was also very pretty, like a paisley design with mixed pinks and greens. It matches my hot pink EIS shirt very nicely and really compliments the Tailored Sportsman breeches nicely. Not to mention, it is also very strong considering it is a fabric belt, and can withstand sweat or intense amount of pressure from the breeches. Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall, it was truly a pleasure to whip up a review with So Southern and work with Pat Nulis. She was a pleasure and she has amazing customer service. Do not hesitate to contact her at [email protected] or goto her website so-southern.com Thank you again to Pat Nulis at So Southern for allowing me to not just review your products but also interview you, it was an absolute pleasure. Thank you!Today, I had the awesome opportunity to interview the owner of Ruespari! This belt company is sweeping the nation and you can see all of their styles and colors on their website: www.RUESPARI.com! Lets hear her answers to the questions:What is your name?:
Adrienne Marciano What is the name of your business? Ruespari - Named after two of my favorite things: my french bull dog Pearl Rue and my horse Laspari. What do you sell/offer? We offer equestrian inspired products for the avid equestrian and non equestrian alike. Why did you start Ruespari? I started this business because I felt there was a need for a more comfortable and flexible belt. Riding apparel has evolved over time into more functional and flexible materials, but I had noticed riding belts have not. I would purchase brand new leather belts and still wear my old broken in leather ones because even though they didn’t look as nice, they were more comfortable. I wanted to develop a belt that was practical for the rider because riding is a sport, but it also had to be classic looking and aesthetically beautiful. All of our belts are designed with the rider in mind because they will not spontaneously unclasp, they lie perfectly flat against your breeches, and they are by far the most comfortable belts on the market. I originally designed them for myself, but then when I was competing during Devon this year, I had so many people asking me where I purchased my belt/s. Each belt is handcrafted in a studio on the Philadelphia Main Line right by the Devon Horse Show. How has owning a business changed your everyday life? I have always been a bit of an entrepreneur. I have my insurance license and I am an agent for Marshall and Sterling. However, fashion design has always been my true passion. I opted to study Marketing at St Joseph’s University over attending Philadelphia University to major in fashion design. I have a lot of responsibilities now overseeing the daily operations of Ruespari, but it is truly my passion to innovate designs that appeal to others. Do you have any advice for future or current business owners? If you have an idea, don’t stop there, do whatever you can to develop your idea. You will always face hurdles and even though it sounds cliche, don’t let your hurdles get in the way of executing an idea you may have. It is very important to always keep a positive attitude when you are faced with obstacles and think about the big picture. I recently had the opportunity to interview the president of the sister brands Arista Equestrian and F.O.A.L.! She was very kind to speak to, and gave me the opportunity to interview her and post it publicly for my viewers to see! What is your name? Frann MacLean. What is your business/company name? We design, manufacture and sell two brands, Arista and F.O.A.L Equestrian What do you sell/offer? Arista has been manufacturing clothing for equestrians for almost 30 years. We manufacture breeches, tops and outerwear as well as a collection of show clothing. Go to www.aristaequestrian.com to view the Fall 16 collection. In the Spring of 2014, we launched a sister brand to Arista called F.O.A.L Equestrian. Go to www.foalequestrian.com Why did you start Arista Equestrian/F.O.A.L.? Arista was started by Sharie Loychuk, a horse enthusiast in Vancouver, with clothing design experience. She initially started designing breeches, and took them to shows in the Vancouver area to sell. Before long, there was such a demand for her styles that she partnered with a Canadian factory and began manufacturing for the wholesale market. Since that time, Arista has grown substantially and now is known for fabulous printed wicking shirts, the best fitting vests on the market, and stylish, high quality clothing that is sold all over North America. F.O.A.L Equestrian was launched to complement the Arista styles, which have a strong dressage following. F.O.A.L styles are designed for the hunter jumpers and eventers and provide great, sporty styles at a fabulous price. How has owning a business changed your everyday life? I used to co-own Arista but it was sold in 2013 to a Canadian business couple. I am now President of the company, which I love, as sales, marketing, design and of course, riding, are passions of mine. Do you have any advice for future or current business owners? I have a picture on my wall, called the Code of The West. It says to Live each day with Courage and Take Pride in Your Work. If you do that, you will probably be successful! Thank you so much Frann for allowing me to interview you and I am sure the viewers would love to read and get inspired to start their own small business!
